Group Benefit Sales Representative

North York insurance company is seeking a Representative to sell group insurance plans, primarily to brokers, and to manage the Accounts. In addition, the Representative will work closely with the implementation and subsequent renewal of the plans. Other duties include: dealing with all stages of the proposal process; explaining insurance plans to group administrators, intermediaries and insureds; analyzing contracts, statistical and other related reports; evaluating existing benefits and recommending changes; analyzing renewal conditions and dealing with terminations; maintaining good working relationships with Clients and stakeholders; representing the company at conventions, conferences etc.; occasionally training new representatives, group administrators and market intermediaries; researching new methods, products, procedures etc. in the market and suggesting improvements; analyzing competitor offerings compared to company offerings and making suggestions; occasionally participating in the development and design of marketing material; participating in regional meetings and departmental initiatives as required. The ideal candidate will be a Senior Service Rep from the insurance sector with extensive experience dealing with brokers and a keen drive to sell insurance products in an exciting and newly created role. Strong familiarity with life and health insurance is required with an aptitude for/ interest in learning sales and business development. Must be willing to travel as required in Ontario. To $110K + corporate bonus to 7.5% and sales bonus up to 50% of base salary as well as a company car.

 

Disability Case Manager-STD and LTD

Our dynamic mid town insurance client is seeking a Disability Case Manager to proactively and effectively handle a portfolio of benefit claims for short and long term disability insurance. Key areas of responsibility will include: analyzing all relevant information to determine company obligations such as: contract provisions, medical proof, non-medical factors, government programs, legislation, internal policies and procedures etc.; contacting all the agents involved in a given file to obtain all relevant information and providing them with the decisions and action plans related to settlement requests; making appropriate and careful selection and use of internal and external interventions (cases referred to company consulting physicians, the supervisor, a rehabilitation firm, a medical expert, a residual capacities evaluation firm, an investigation firm, a reinsurer, etc.);interacting with external agents so that they respect the objectives and budgets provided and make sure the intervention is progressing well; developing and implementing interventions that reduce the duration of disabilities. The successful candidate will have: a minimum of three years of experience in disability claims adjudication and management with a life insurance company; a strong knowledge of insurance contracts; outstanding communications skills (oral & written); excellent analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills; a strong ability to adapt to change and quickly integrate new knowledge; an ability to work well under pressure and manage priorities as well as a willingness to collaborate in reaching common objectives. Mid town well established HVAC company is currently seeking an HVAC Installation Technician with a Gas 2 license and preferably the 313D certification. Good communication skills are essential as well as absolute reliability. Must be keen to continually upgrade knowledge. To $30 per hour.

Lead Eavestrough Installer

Our rapidly growing west end client is currently seeking a full time Lead Eavestrough Installer with experience leading, coaching, mentoring and working alongside a crew to install a high quality eavestrough product; candidates with solid roofing experience will also be considered. Our client offers job stability and competitive wages with the potential for overtime. Professionalism and pride in ownership of work are keys to success in this role. The successful candidate will be courteous and polite with excellent communication skills; ability to ensure consistent quality installations is a must as well as superb customer service that is second to none as each and every Installer serves as an Ambassador for the company's brand. The successful candidate must: create and support a safe work environment; analyze job sites prior to beginning an installation to ensure a quality installation is possible; work assigned routes in a timely fashion; ensure a quality Gutter Installation on all jobs; create and exhibit a sense of ownership; demonstrate a sense of urgency and decisiveness as appropriate and possess a valid Driver's Licence. $30 per hour plus.
